Cranberry Creek Lodge
Getting to and from the lodge
Guests will fly to Anchorage and then on to Kodiak city using Alaska Airlines. From Kodiak, there are several top-quality Air taxis with an impeccable reputation that provide a quick 35 min flight to Cranberry Creek Lodge. We suggest that you fly into Kodiak the day before your scheduled arrival at the lodge. This will provide a cushion for any weather delays and will allow you to see the sights of the town of Kodiak, pick up your fishing/hunting license (if you have not purchased it online), and any refreshments that you may require. When returning home via Alaska Airlines we recommend either scheduling for the last flight of the day or staying overnight in Kodiak and flying out the next morning. This will minimize any scheduling hassle should there be a weather delay.

Spinning rods and tackle for both fresh and saltwater fishing are provided. Please come prepared with layered, comfortable clothing but be conscious of overpacking. A complete list of recommended gear can be found here ►

Fish Cleaning and Packaging
Up to 50lbs of fish per person will be filleted, cleaned, vacuum-sealed, and frozen on-site. Additional processed fish will be $2 per pound. At the end of your stay, we will pack and label your catch into lined fish boxes. You can then transport them as checked baggage on your flight. Most of the hotels have free freezer space as well. If you overnight in Anchorage, there is a freezer in the Baggage Claim Area of the airport where you can store your fish for a reasonable price until you fly home.
Deer and Duck Processing
Unguided hunters are responsible for processing, packaging, and shipping their own meat. All birds will be tagged or labeled, packaged, and frozen for you to meet federal migratory bird shipping regulations
** Fishing and hunting licenses can also be obtained in Kodiak at Big Ray’s Sporting goods, but guests should ensure they have ample time once arriving in Kodiak before they board the Air Taxi to the lodge.
Please note that we do not sell or provide alcohol at the Lodge. You are welcome to bring your own from home or purchase in Kodiak on your way to the Lodge. The local Air Taxis have a shuttle van that can take you to the store prior to your flight to Cranberry Creek Lodge.
